About Emma Jumper

A native of Paragould, Arkansas, Emma Jumper brings a distinctive combination of legal, tax, financial, and practical business experience to her work at RMP Law. Her practice focuses on tax law and tax planning, mergers and acquisitions, real estate, and adoptions. She serves clients throughout Arkansas, with a particular interest in advising long-established businesses, entrepreneurs, family-owned businesses, and individuals as they navigate significant transactions and transitions.

Emma earned her Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, magna cum laude, from Mississippi State University and her Master of Business Administration, magna cum laude, from Oklahoma State University. She then earned her Juris Doctor, cum laude, from the University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law. Recognizing the important role tax considerations play in business and personal decision-making, Emma continued her education at the University of Florida Levin College of Law, where she earned an LL.M. in Taxation with distinction. Her graduate tax research examined the federal self-employment tax treatment of limited partners and owners of closely held businesses.

Before joining RMP Law, Emma gained experience handling commercial matters in Little Rock and working within the food and protein industry, particularly the beef sector. This background gives her a practical understanding of how legal and tax decisions affect a business beyond the documents themselves—from operations and cash flow to ownership, growth, and succession. She draws on that perspective to help clients identify issues, evaluate their options, and pursue solutions aligned with their broader business and personal objectives.

Emma’s connection to agriculture is both professional and personal. She remains actively involved with her family’s registered Angus operation, Rock Creek Angus, and has served in leadership and educational roles within state and national Angus organizations. Her experience in agriculture and the beef industry gives her firsthand insight into the opportunities and challenges facing agricultural producers and multigenerational family businesses.

Outside of the office, Emma enjoys working with her family’s Angus herd, running, and pursuing her interest in aviation.
