About A. Cale Block 

Cale Block concentrates his practice in the areas of business and corporate law, mergers and acquisitions,
construction law, real estate, and utilities and regulated industries. He is adept at finding solutions to
tough legal questions and has argued many issues of first impression to victory for a diverse client base.
As part of his practice, Cale assists small to large-sized businesses with a wide range of legal needs,
including handling disputes, negotiating and drafting agreements, and buying/selling businesses. Cale's
clients see him as a problem solver and a valued member of their team. As a member of a full-service
firm, Cale's focus is to assist his clients in achieving their full potential by collaborating with his
colleagues and using all the resources at his firm's disposal. He thrives on helping clients find creative
ways to accomplish their goals and strives to add value wherever and however he can. Cale has served as
lead counsel in numerous mergers and acquisitions, has closed transactions totaling more than a billion
dollars in value, and regularly serves as first-chair counsel in dockets involving regulated industries.
Cale’s work has earned an AV Preeminent rating by Martindale-Hubbell and inclusion in Mid-South
Super Lawyers. In addition to his practice as an attorney, Cale is also a licensed mediator.
