Adam C. Flock is a partner at RMP LLP where he concentrates his practice on business matters and estate planning.  Mr. Flock regularly advises clients on legal matters arising during the life cycle of a business, including entity formation, corporate governance, mergers and acquisitions, audits and tax matters. Mr. Flock has extensive experience in the energy industry and has represented Fortune 500 companies, a super-major integrated oil and gas company, as well as publicly traded and closely held companies.  His estate planning practice focuses on helping individuals arrange for the management and disposition of their estates in a tax efficient manner.

Prior to joining RMP LLP, Mr. Flock spent more than a decade in legal roles at two of the largest energy companies in the United States. Mr. Flock most recently served as Senior Tax Counsel for Sempra Energy, a Fortune 500 company located in San Diego, California, where he advised on mergers and acquisitions, corporate restructurings, and project development, including the development, operation and divestment of utility-scale wind and solar projects.

Mr. Flock previously served as Tax Counsel for BP,  a super-major integrated oil company located in Houston, Texas, where he advised on matters related to the company’s Gulf Coast operations.  Mr. Flock began his legal career as an attorney with Baker Donelson – one of the largest firms in the Southeast United States.

Mr. Flock is an Adjunct Professor at the University of San Diego School of Law where he teaches Partnership Tax and Advance Partnership Tax for the Graduate Tax (LLM) Program, which consistently ranks as a top ten program nationally.
