About Joseph D. Reece

Joseph D. Reece advises families and closely held business owners in the preservation, structuring, and transfer of significant family assets across multiple generations. As a founding member and managing partner of RMP Law, his practice focuses on sophisticated estate, tax, and succession planning designed to safeguard complex holdings and ensure long-term continuity.

Joseph holds a Master of Laws (LL.M.) in Estate Planning and Taxation from the University of Miami, an advanced degree dedicated to complex wealth transfer and tax strategy. He earned his Juris Doctor from Mercer University and his undergraduate degree in Accounting from the University of the Ozarks. His combined legal and financial background informs a disciplined, highly analytical approach to planning.

His work regularly involves advanced trust structures, business succession strategies, and coordinated planning alongside investment advisors, accountants, and family leadership. He frequently guides families through multigenerational planning considerations — balancing tax efficiency, asset protection, governance, and the long-term stewardship of wealth. Clients rely on him not only for technical depth, but for judgment — particularly in matters where financial decisions intersect with family dynamics.

Joseph has been recognized by Best Lawyers in America, including designation as Lawyer of the Year in Tax Law, and has been selected to Mid-South Super Lawyers in Estate Planning and Probate.

An Arkansas native, Joseph remains engaged in the community through service and professional involvement.

He approaches each engagement with discretion, clarity, and a long-range perspective while recognizing that thoughtful planning today shapes stability for generations to come.

The RMP team is exceptional. Not all "elder law" attorneys are truly Certified Elder Law Attorneys (CELA). They're extremely knowledgable all while compassionately serving clients
