Clayton L. Layson

BACKGROUND

Clayton Layson joined RMP as an associate attorney in 2017. He previously served as Assistant Director of the Division of Aging and Adult Services (DAAS) where he oversaw the Arkansas Long-Term Services and Supports (LTSS) Medicaid Financial Eligibility program. Prior to DAAS, Clayton served as an attorney for the state Medicaid agency’s Office of Chief Counsel, where he advised on matters of Medicaid eligibility and represented the agency in administrative appeals. He also has experience working as a trust officer for one of the largest banks in Arkansas. Clayton earned his J.D., with honors, from the UALR Bowen School of Law and has an engineering degree from the University of Arkansas.
